Red Hills State Park on US 50 offers many activities for persons of all ages. Camping, fishing, horse and hiking trails are just a few options you have when visiting the park.
Not only is it the fourth largest airport in the state of Illinois it is home to many clubs involving; airplanes, sailplanes, ultra-light airplanes, model airplanes and even car clubs and racing organizations. The Wabash Valley Soaring Club practice most weekends and the Sports Car Club of America have multiple events throughout the year, but the "Day at the Strip", the 3rd weekend in July, is a car show, drag race and all around family fun event. Each fall brings festivals to Sumner, Lawrenceville and St. Francisville while each Christmas season you can visit the Live Nativity at the Beulah United Methodist Church south of Sumner. The nativity is a re-creation of Bethlehem the night Jesus was born.

Scenic Backroad Highway 33
Highway 33 is also known as the Lincoln Heritage Trail where Abraham Lincoln and his family first traveled in the state of Illinois in 1830.
